Blood and Fire gives Mistfall Hunter players a reason to keep playing right up to the Season 1 reset. Introduced in the October 21, 2026 update, this preview event follows a bard's ballad and asks players to help lost souls find their resting place. The story's a draw, but the rewards matter too. Alongside an exclusive earring cosmetic, event tasks offer Moonlight Nectar, which carries into Season 2 at full value. That makes it a useful reward for anyone thinking about their next-season supplies, including Mistfall Hunter Gyldenblood Money and other resources. Unlike many stockpiled assets, Nectar won't be converted at a diminishing rate. The earring stays with you as well, so there's something lasting here even if you're only dropping in for a few sessions.

What arrived with the update

The October 21 update went live at 08:00 UTC without taking the game offline. Players still needed to download a client update from their platform store, though, so it was worth checking for that before jumping into a match. The patch added screens for the Season Reset and Fateweaver Shop, giving players a clearer look at what's ahead. It also improved network latency when Returner Woodlings spawn. Mercenary players got several fixes, including one for a rare blocking state that could persist after a Blackarrow skill hit during a Perfect Block. Another addressed Breakaway charges stacking after a Perfect Block against Super Armor. Elsewhere, Reverent Seer's selected Rune Pillar no longer cycles after a tactical item is used. The update also addressed missing enemy footsteps during conversations with Richie the Merchant, among other fixes.

Loot and the new seasonal mode

Better loot is probably the news most players will notice first. The developers say overall drop rates will rise in Season 2, with the aim of helping players gear up faster. That doesn't mean every improvement will be ready on launch day. Some are expected to arrive later in the season, with timing shared through future updates. There's also a new seasonal mode in the works, complete with its own exchange shop. Players who found Soul Harvest too much of a grind should have less work to do for the new shop's rewards. A shard exchange system is planned too, making key camp upgrade materials easier to get. Combat Bags will continue to appear at the increased rate already established through events. Forging should become more cost-effective, while adjustments to Combat Bag gear affixes are intended to make Scavenger Squad runs more worthwhile.

Smaller improvements and longer-term plans

Some of the proposed quality-of-life changes sound modest until you've spent an evening managing your gear. A dedicated Gem Warehouse is planned, along with an Unequip All option for gems. Players should also get a way to mute camp mail reminders, automatically destroy starter gear after Quick Equip, and skip the drinking animation. Other ideas need more time. The team is working on adding skills, talents and supplies to the loadout screen, and plans to review requests for exact skill and talent numbers. A separate extraction method for victorious PvP players in Brandrgarde is intended for a future season. Future boss design will also get closer attention to melee and ranged performance. Don't expect a Duo Mode, new US West or Middle East servers, or an option to opt out of bot matchmaking under the current plans.

Making the most of the reset

If you're choosing what to do with your remaining Season 1 time, start with the Blood and Fire tasks. Nectar keeps its full value through the reset, and the earring remains in your cosmetic collection. After that, check which objectives are worth completing and look over the reset screen before committing your stockpile. Eligible assets will be converted at diminishing rates, with Gyldenblod Leaves available for purchases in the Fateweaver Shop. Combat Bags and Holy Soulcatch Nets are among the items players can pick up there for a head start. Some players may also consider whether to buy Mistfall Hunter Money as they plan their resources, though the event itself offers rewards worth earning in-game. Once Season 2 begins, try the new mode and keep an eye on later patch notes rather than expecting every announced improvement immediately.
